New York – Bloomingdale’s is rolling out a new private label bedding collection.

 

Called 1872 in honor of the year the retailer was established, the line is the latest iteration of the industry’s push to bring a modern twist to traditional design.

 

The core solid color sheet program is a 700-count Egyptian cotton solid open stock in 10 mostly muted hues. Price on a queen flat sheet is $185.

 

1872 debuts with five fashion bedding suites, with retails on a queen duvet covers at $355 and $400. Quilted coverlets mostly retail at $400, as does the velvet coverlet in the inaugural line.

 

The collection also includes an edited assortment of toss pillows and a bed skirt
